Using sophisticated genetics databases, our doctors are able to identify and confirm rare syndromes and metabolic disorders from the more than 15,000 genetic disorders identified in medical literature. Prenatal Genetic Counseling

Expectant mothers may be seen by a medical geneticist for a variety of reasons: advanced maternal age, abnormal maternal serum screening, fetal abnormalities identified on ultrasound, teratogen exposure or a family history of a genetic disorder.

In addition, we provide prenatal counseling via telemedicine in coordination with two Illinois hospitals: Anderson Hospital in Maryville and Shiloh Hospital in Shiloh.

For fetal conditions, we coordinate care with the SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital Fetal Care Institute.

Cancer Counseling

Certain types of cancer are known to run in families. Tests are available to help identify generational cancer risks. Our specialists offer cancer genetics assessments and recurrence risk counseling to help families plan for the future.
