For decades, SLUCare Physician Group has been a fixture in medical buildings along Grand Boulevard from I-44 to Chouteau. Now, for the first time in years, there’s a brand new space for our providers to call home in Midtown.
The new SLUCare medical building, known as the Center for Specialized Medicine, is a state-of-the-art outpatient hub for our primary care providers and specialists. Located on Grand beside the new SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, SLUCare Center for Specialized Medicine will open its doors to patients on August 31, 2020.
The grand opening comes three years after SLUCare and SSM Health broke ground to create a modern new patient care experience in facilities with the latest technologies, serving patients where our roots run deep on the campus of Saint Louis University.
Together, the Center for Specialized Medicine and the new hospital building represent an investment of nearly half a billion dollars toward improving health care in our community. In addition to outpatient office space, the development includes 316 private hospital rooms, a Level I trauma center and emergency department, large intensive care units, a parking garage, and green spaces to promote a healing environment for patients and families.
The move to the Center for Specialized Medicine will affect SLUCare providers with offices in the Doctors Office Building on Vista Ave., Salus Center on Lafayette Ave., and the SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital - South Campus building on Grand Blvd. at I-44. Please check with your provider's office if you have questions about the location of your next appointment or for additional move information.
